Meet the Blogger

I've decided it's time for a little introduction since not all of my readers know me on a personal level.

My name is Angelica and I am 22.

I live in West Jordan, Utah with my husband, Zack, and our three fur children.

We had a perfect outside wedding on May 3, 2013.

I came with my sweet baby boy, Madden Merrick, who is our (almost) 4 year old cat.

Together we adopted Cia Barakat from the humane society. We aren't certain on her age but she's estimated to be 8.

We became puppy parents for the first time earlier this year to Padfoot Dawson. She'll be 1 in January.

I love being a wife and I love being a furmama. Each day is a new adventure and I couldn't be more grateful or blessed to have such a beautiful family.

I have 6 brothers and 2 sisters. My 2 eldest brothers live here in Utah. My dad and 2 younger brothers moved to Indiana with his wife about 3 years ago. My step mom had a son from a previous marriage and together her and my dad have had 3 together. (At this moment 1 of my sisters is still cooking until November.) Big families are the best!! Zack has 2 brothers and 1 sister, he is the oldest. They live about 6 streets down the road. His siblings and parents are so loving. They welcomed me to the family instantly. We also have an amazing extended family.

Currently I am a nanny. I have been working with the family for a year and a half. I care for a 10 year old boy and a 6 year old girl. I love my job!!! I have always loved kids and nannying has helped me to decide on a change in my future career plans. I'll be going back to school next Spring to get a degree in Social Work. (Very far from my previous path of getting a business degree.) With my Social Work education I hope to work with Foster Care or doing some kind of work with an adoption agency. I feel it's a great fit for me and I anxiously await being able to help change the lives of some precious children.

My husband works with an auto body/parts company. He's always loved cars but we are looking forward to the day when he can get back into school and receive an education in something that won't be as physically demanding. I will always support him in whatever he decides to do.

We love sports. We like the outdoors though we don't get to indulge in them often. We also love watching home remodeling shows, HIMYM, Grimm, and Supernatural. (I'm VERY addicted to my Supernatural.) I love quoting movies and songs, he loves giving me "you're crazy" looks. I love cooking, he loves eating what I cook. He loves fixing cars, I love watching him. We are perfect for each other. :)

We are LDS (Latter-Day Saints) and are currently striving to be sealed in the Bountiful Temple. I'm looking forward to this day. We are very simple and enjoy little things. We are happy and just try and make the most out of every day we are given.

So that's us!! Many more moments to come for you. :)
